About Amanda
Amanda Hoey (she/her) is a rising 2L at UConn Law and the Treasurer of People's Parity Project. She is also involved in the Mental Health Committee, Lambda Law, the Public Interest Law Group, and the UConn Law International Refugee Assistance Project chapter. Last year, Amanda founded UConn Law's Labor and Employment Law Society, where she serves as the President.
Amanda wants to practice labor law, protecting workers' rights and fighting back against corporate overreach, and she's extra excited to participate in the Asylum and Human Rights Clinic this fall! When not buried in schoolwork, Amanda likes to write, swim, play nerdy history video games, attempt to play guitar, and spoil her Chihuahua/terrier mix dog named Molly.
