It's crucial to ensure that the justice system works equitably for all, especially those who have historically faced discrimination or exploitation, such as workers of color, women, low-wage earners, union members, immigrants, disabled individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

The People's Parity Project @ UConn Law is the proud founder of the CT Pro-People Judiciary Coalition, joining legal advocates, disability rights groups, community organizations, and plaintiffs’ law firms in an effort to diversify the state judiciary.

The Supreme Court decision in Trump v. United States poses a significant threat to our democracy by effectively providing the president with sweeping legal immunity for criminal acts. The idea that a president should be granted constitutional protection from prosecution for otherwise criminal “official acts” is an affront to the fundamental principle of American democracy that no one is above the law.
