About Alexandra
Alexa is a 2L and PPP Events Coordinator at UConn Law. Before law school, she served our state’s community as an AmeriCorps member at the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence. In her role at the Coalition, Alexa recruited and managed over 100 attorneys who provided pro bono restraining order representation for domestic violence survivors. She also assisted with launching a Family Law Legal Consult Program to provide free consultations to survivors who do not qualify for legal aid programs.
Motivated to advocate for the rights of vulnerable individuals exploited by systems, Alexa found a natural fit within PPP, where her values align with the organization's mission. In addition to her role on the PPP Executive Board, Alexa serves as a Law School Liaison for the Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and as the Events Coordinator of the Women Law Students’ Association. She is also an Associate Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
Alexa works as a law clerk at Brown Paindiris & Scott, further developing her skills and propelling her career in people-facing work.
In her free time, Alexa is passionate about music. She enjoys inspiring others through songwriting and vocal performance. Alexa is excited to contribute to the organization this year in a way that illuminates important issues and fosters community on campus.
